Stylized Flame Mesh

I created a looping volumetric simulation effect in Houdini, converted the data to true VDB, and then converted that into an animated 3D Mesh. I then exported the mesh to unreal engine and applied the effect using Vertex Animation Textures. I went this route for my effect to create an almost stop-motion, clay/linen effect while allowing for more dynamic viewing angles than that of a 2D sprite.
